Navigation
Keyboard and Mouse Shortcuts
for the Raven Shield version of UnrealED
2d view:
Navigating View
Hold [LeftMouse] and drag Moves view slowly in any direction
Hold [RightMouse] and drag Moves view quickly in any direction
Hold [LeftMouse]+[RightMouse] and drag forward/backward Zooms view in and out
[MouseWheelScroll] Zooms view in and out (not as precise as using the left and right mouse buttons together)
Selecting Objects
LeftClick an object Selects a single object
Hold [Ctrl] and LeftClick objects in sequence Selects multiple objects together
Hold [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[LeftMouse] and drag Creates a bounding box and selects all objects inside the selected area (will select an object if any part of it is inside the area; note that the bounding box will extend infinitely along whichever axis--x, y or z--is not displayed in that viewport)
Moving Objects
Hold [Ctrl]+[LeftMouse] and drag Moves the selected object without scrolling the viewport (if no object is selected, you will move the builder brush)
Hold [Shift]+[LeftMouse] and drag Moves the selected object while scrolling the viewport to keep the object centered on screen
Hold [Ctrl]+[RightMouse] and drag left/right Rotate the selected object (will rotate along the 2d plane of the 2d view you are in)
Special
Hold [Shift]+[MiddleMouse] and drag Displays a measurment of the number of units between two points
RightClick directly on one vertex (corner) of an object Snaps the pivot point (indicated by a red crosshair) to that spot
RightClick an object Opens the context menu for the selected object (provides options for adding actors if no object is selected)
3d view:
Navigating Camera
Hold [LeftMouse] and drag forward/backward Moves camera forward/backward along horizontal plane
Hold [LeftMouse] and drag left/right Pans camera left/right
Hold [RightMouse] and drag in any direction Pans camera in any direction
Hold [LeftMouse] and [RightMouse] and drag forward/backward Moves camera up/down along vertical plane
Hold [LeftMouse]+[RightMouse] and drag left/right Strafes camera left/right along horizontal plane
Selecting Surfaces
LeftClick a Surface Selects a surface
Hold [Ctrl] and LeftClick surfaces in sequence Selects multiple surfaces together
[Shift]+B Selects all surfaces belonging to the selected surface's brush (in other words, if you have one surface of a solid cube selected, this will select all six surfaces; note that on a hollow brush this will select both inside and outside surfaces)
[Shift]+J Selects all adjacent surfaces
[Shift]+F Selects all adjacent floor surfaces (very useful for identifying 'walkable' floors in Raven Shield maps)
[Shift]+W Selects all adjacent wall surfaces (very useful for identifying 'walls' in Raven Shield maps)
[Shift]+G Selects all surfaces belonging to the same group as the currently selected surface
[Shift]+T Selects all surfaces which use the currently selected texture
[Shift]+S Selects all surfaces in the world
[Shift]+M Memorizes which surfaces you currently have selected
[Shift]+R Recalls your memorized surface selection and automatically selects those same surfaces again
[Shift]+O Recalls memorized surfaces without deselecting your currently selected surfaces
[Shift]+U Selects union of memorized and selected surfaces (in other words, selects any surfaces which you currently have selected and are also memorized)
[Shift]+X Select exclusive of memorized and selected surfaces (the opposite of [Shift]+U, selects only surfaces which are either currently selected or memorized, but not both)
Special
Hold [Shift] and LeftClick a surface Applies to the surface whichever texture is currently selected in the texture browser
Hold [Alt] and RightClick a surface Stores to memory the texture that you click on.
Hold [Alt] and LeftClick a surface Pastes the texture in memory to the surface you click on.
RightClick a surface Opens the context menu for the selected surface (provides options for adding actors if no surface is selected)

Creating Geometry
[Ctrl]+A Add brush to world
[Ctrl]+S Subtract brush from world
[Ctrl]+I Intersect brush with world
[Ctrl]+D Deintersect brush with world
Copying Static Meshes and Actor Classes
[Ctrl]+W Duplicate the selected object
[Shift]+D Duplicate the selected object (the same action as [Ctrl]+W)
[Ctrl]+C Copy the selected object to the clipboard
[Ctrl]+V Paste an object previously copied to the clipboard
[Ctrl]+X Cut (copy the selected object to the clipboard and delete the original)
Viewport Configuration
[Alt]+0 through [Alt]+9 Switches the selected viewport between 10 possible views (Top, Front, WireFrame, BSP Cuts, etc.)
[Alt]+[Backspace] Maximizes the selected viewport (press [Alt]+[Backspace] again to restore the original viewport configuration)
P Toggles real-time update of the selected viewport (when toggled on, the view will instantly reflect changes made in other views)
Hiding Actors
B Show/Hide the red builder brush in the selected view
Q Show/Hide all geometry brushes in the selected view
W Show/Hide all static meshes in the selected view
H Show/Hide all actor classes in the selected view
O Show/Hide all volumes in the selected view
T Show/Hide terrain in the selected view
K Show/Hide the skybox as it will appear in-game in the selected view (only affects the 3d view)
F Show/Hide distance fog in the selected view (only affects the 3d view)
Misc. Shortcuts
[Ctrl]+Z Undo last action
[Ctrl]+L Save map
[Ctrl]+E Save as...
[Ctrl]+O Load new map
[Ctrl]+P Launch RavenShield
[Shift]+A Selects all actors in the world (including geometry brushes and even hidden actors)
[Shift]+N Selects nothing (removes the focus from any currently selected actor or surface)
[F4] Opens the actor properties window for the selected object(s)
[F5] Opens the surface properties window for the selected surface(s)
[F6] Opens the level properties window for the current map
[F8] Opens the build options window
